Poolfoot Farm

Poolfoot Farm is sadly no longer standing after being demolished in recent years to make way for a new housing estate.

The name Poolfoot probably came from the pool which used to form in the dyke at this point which can be seen on the map opposite.  Earlier maps show that this was once a much larger pool than is shown here.

The red arrow indicates *Crabtree Road leading off from *Heys Street.
