Stanah Hill Farm which is marked in red on the 1892 Ordinance Survey map, is situated on Raikes Road just before the junction of Stanah Road, marked in orange, and Underbank Road, marked in green.

 

The actual date of the farm is unknown but the lease is written in old English where there are f’s for the s’s which suggests it is of good age.

 

The farm was also known for the championship winning Lancashire Cheese it produced with the cup and cheese making machinery proudly displayed below.
